The Concept of 'Seats' Explained

Imagine being a cinema owner. In your cinema you have 3 screens showing 3 different films. These three screens are analogous to you as an event owner running 3 different events.

Now imagine that in each screen you have 100 physical chairs, or seats. This means that you can sell 100 tickets (because you have 100 available seats) to each event.

Reattendance seats are exactly the same, only rather than just having one type of seat, we have two types - a 'recurring' seat which can be used once for each event you run, and a 'single-use' which can only be used once, regardless of how many events you run.

Some Reattendance plans come with recurring and/or single use seats, and some do not. You can also buy more of both should you need to increase your event capacity.

Seats are chargeable because they represent the streaming costs incurred, and it is for this reason that in-person (only) events do not have seat-costs associated with them, as there are no associated streaming costs.

Recurring seats

  • These are the number of ticket seats you can allocate to each event you hold, for example, if you hold 3 events in one month, and have 100 recurring seats, you can have 100 different attendees at each of the three events
  • Recurring Seats are shared throughout all of your event tickets within your event. For example, if you have 100 Recurring Seats and 4 tickets, you could allocate the 100 seats across the tickets evenly, 25 per ticket, or unevenly, 10 for three tickets and 70 for the fourth.
  • Some subscription plans contain Recurring Seats, which will be available to you every time you create a new event. You can also purchase more, if you want to regularly hold events with more attendees
  • If you delete a ticket or remove people from tickets from an event, your Recurring Seat count is refunded, so you can use them again later
  • If you create a Free event ticket, your seats will be allocated to that ticket as people register for free, automatically

💡TIP - To purchase additional recurring seats click "Purchase Ticket Seats" on the right hand side, within the event builder. These are sold in blocks of 100

NOTE - In Person events do not require purchased seats

Single use seats

  • These seats can be allocated to any event ticket, across any event, but can only be used once
  • If you delete attendees then your Single Use Seats count is refunded back to you, for future use
  • When automatic allocations occur, for example, uploading manual attendees, or selling Free tickets, Reattendance uses Recurring Seats first and then, when that count is empty, moves on to Single Use Seats

💡TIP - To purchase additional single use seats click "Purchase Ticket Seats" on the right hand side, within the event builder. These are sold in blocks of 100

NOTE - In Person events do not require purchased seats
